WFHB Tuesday Am Music Mix I: a two-hour free form acoustic mix show Tuesday mornings from 6-8am (EDT) While technically we play anything from classical to acid rock, my shows tend to be heavily folk/contemporary singer/songwriter oriented, mixed with some jazz, blues, and acoustic rock along with occasional poetry and performance pieces. I also program: Womenspace, a two-hour show from 9-11pm (EDT) on alternate Thursday nights featuring music by women singer-songwriters and performers of all genres and Roots For Breakfast, on the 2nd Saturday of each month from 8-10am with a predominantly folk and Americana focus.... Due to station policy Cds mailed to me at the station tend not to find me unless I catch them coming in... As I program the show from home (I like to put together themes) the best way to get music to me is: Carolyn VandeWiele Womenspace/Tue Am Mix/Roots For Breakfast 732 W. Big Ben started ticking on 05/31/1859 The Johnstown Flood, sometimes referred to locally as the Great Flood of 1889, occurred on Friday, May 31, 1889, after the catastrophic failure of the South Fork Dam 14 miles upstream of the town of Johnstown, Pennsylvania. The dam ruptured after several days of extremely heavy rainfall, releasing water from Lake Conemaugh, a private reservoir owned by the more than fifty wealthy industrialists who belonged to Pennsylvania's South Fork Fishing and Hunting Club. The flood killed 2,208 people and accounted for $17 million (equivalent to $0.54 billion in 2024) in damages.
